These optical films have very low glossiness on the surface, which makes them highly translucent (over 90% transmissibility of all light) even under hazy conditions. This level of performance had been unattainable by sand blasting and was made possible with phase separation coating technology.
In the display field, these films markedly tone down reflections to the degree that glare caused by external light is virtually unnoticeable on display surfaces.
Moreover, thanks to the quality matte finish, they can be used as casting films and release films for transferring uneven patterns, and applications that require super-high levels of light diffusion.
