Daicel Corporation (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka, President & CEO: Misao Fudaba) will establish Daicel Safety Systems India Pvt. Ltd. (DSSI) in October 2018, as a sales office for automobile airbag inflators in India.

Demand for airbags has been expanding in India, in accordance with rapid growth of the automobile market and tightening of safety regulations. Daicel sales operations for India have so far been based mainly in Thailand. However, with the foundation of DSSI, we aim to conduct sales operations with closer contact to customers in the Indian market.
Additionally, we will take a step forward towards considering the future establishment of a production site in India.
