CAFBLO® by Daicel is a biomass plastic made by thermally modifying cellulose acetate, derived from non-food biomass sources such as wood and cotton, with non-phthalate plasticizers. It is suitable for various applications including cutlery, straws, ballpoint pens, toothbrushes, fishing gear, and 3D printer filaments. This material is known for its recyclability, pleasant texture, high transparency, and antibacterial properties. Additionally, as one of the few biomass plastics with marine biodegradability, CAFBLO® is promoted as a solution to the marine plastic waste problem.
