Daicel Corporation (Head Office: Kita-ku, Osaka; President & CEO: Yasuhiro Sakaki) has entered into a share transfer agreement with KOYO SANGYO CO., LTD. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Soichi Funayama) to transfer all shares of Daicel Pack Systems Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Daicel Pack Systems), a consolidated subsidiary of Daicel Corporation, effective March 31, 2026.
Daicel Pack Systems was established in 2001 through a business integration with Daido Shoko Co., Ltd., and has since been engaged in the manufacturing and sales of food containers, industrial containers, and cushioning materials. As Daicel advances the transformation of its business portfolio in line with its mid-term management strategy, "Accelerate 2025," we have determined that identifying a best owner capable of fully leveraging Daicel Pack Systems strengths and growth potential, while generating synergies, is the most appropriate way to ensure the subsidiary's continued development and sustainable growth.
Following the share transfer, Daicel Pack Systems will change its corporate name to Koyo Pack Systems Ltd., effective April 1, 2026, and will continue to contribute to society through manufacturing, with a focus on its packaging materials business.
