DAICEL CORPORATION (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka; President: Yoshimi Ogawa, hereinafter "Daicel") has announced that Daicel has signed a share transfer agreement with Sightron Japan Inc. （Head Office: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Akira Watanabe　hereinafter "Sightron Japan"）and will transfer all shares of Daicel Pyrotechnics LTD. (hereinafter Daicel Pyrotechnics), our consolidated subsidiary, as of March 1, 2024.

Daicel Pyrotechnics has deepened its expertise in explosives technology and assembly technology, and has provided “safe,” “environmentally friendly,” and “highly reliable” pyrotechnic products, since its establishment. In particular, Daicel Pyrotechnics has secured the top share of domestic shipments for ammunitions for hunting and shooting and has received high praise from its business partners for the high quality and stable supply of domestically produced products (at its own factories).

As Daicel is promoting the transformation of our business structure based on our Mid-Term Management Strategy "Accelerate 2025," we have decided that the best option for each stakeholder is to search for the best owner who can fully leverage Daicel Pyrotechnics’ strengths and potential and generate synergistic effects.

Daicel Pyrotechnics has deep knowledge and know-how in the industry, as well as a relationship of trust built up through the business relationship between Daicel Pyrotechnics and Sightron Japan. For that reason, Daicel will transfer our shares of Daicel Pyrotechnics to Sightron Japan from the perspective of being the best owner who can expect business continuity and further growth and development for both companies.
