(alphabetical order)
This cellulose acetate resin exhibits high transparency and can be used to display vivid colors. It can be cut with ease and its surface is easy to polish.
- Common applications
- Eyeglass frames and tools (screwdriver handles)
This product is a jet injector instantly generating high-pressure gas based on our original pyrotechnology. The gas pressure enables to inject drugs into the skin without a needle and to deliver large molecules including DNA/mRNA intracellularly.
- Common applications
- Devices for DNA/mRNA delivery for laboratory use
These spherical cellulose acetate particles are ideally suited for use in cosmetics. Their fine surfaces contribute to the smooth texture of the final product.
- Common applications
- Foundations and other cosmetic products
This is a marine-biodegradable plastic (in the form of polymers and resins) made from cellulose acetate sourced from biomass. The resin exhibits high transparency and is readily adaptable to various designs.
- Common applications
- Cutlery, packaging containers, clothing, clear file holders, and toothbrushes
This product comprises mechanically treated cellulose fibers that have been elongated and refined. The fibers are not water soluble, but they disperse uniformly and add viscosity. As an additive, it provides a very high water-retention property.
- Common applications
- Foodstuffs (filtration aids, improved water retention, improved texture), fillers for separator of battery, and paper (increased paper strength)
These products are classified as columns used to separate enantiomers in the liquid chromatography field. The columns are packed stationary phases which cellulose and amylose derivative polymers having a higher-order structure are supported on silica gel.
- Common applications
- HPLC and SFC analysis, and preparative separation for development of pharmaceuticals, agricultural chemicals, foods and so on
Cigatow
This is cellulose acetate used in tobacco filters. It controls the amount of tar and nicotine in tobacco smoke and vapor.
- Common applications
- Cigarette filters
This is a cellulose-based water-soluble polymer used in a wide range of applications as a thickener, emulsion stabilizer, and binder.
- Common applications
- Sanitary products (poultices), batteries (binder for negative electrode plates), foods (dispersion of milk protein), and cosmetics (thickening of hair dye)
This product safely and reliably generates gas in the event of a vehicle impact. The gas is used to pretension the seat belts.
- Common applications
- Auto parts
This material is a powder with moderate hydrophilicity. It is soluble in general-purpose solvents and, with the addition of plasticizers, can be used as a plastic.
- Common applications
- Plastics and fibers
This is a co-processed excipient used in orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs). Microcrystalline cellulose and carmellose are contained as raw materials. It offers Well-balanced tablet property between orally disintegrating time and hardness. The characteristic particle shape contributes to good content uniformity.
- Common applications
- Orally disintegrating tablets for use in medicine
This is a polymer compound containing cellulose that is chemically modified for water solubility. Its functions include thickening, suspending, and serving as a protective colloid. The aqueous solution has excellent resistance to acidity and alkalinity, salts, and chemicals.
- Common applications
- Electrical materials, personal hygiene products, automobiles, and cosmetics
This is a co-processed excipient used in orally disintegrating tablets (ODTs). Microcrystalline cellulose and croscarmellose sodium are contained as raw materials. It has excellent compactability so that high tablet hardness is possible at low compression force. It provides sufficient tablet hardness and rapid disintegration.
- Common applications
- Medicines (orally disintegrating tablets)
This module contains cellulose acetate hollow fiber membrane which has hydrophilic property. Membrane surface is resistant to fouling and maintains high water permeability in a stable manner.
- Common applications
- Water treatment (water purification and wastewater treatment), food processing plants, ultrapure water production, and production of membrane modules for pharmaceutical and biotechnology applications
Nano Cobbler’s Pegs™
This is a selective adsorbent whose main component is a cellulose derivative with an extremely strong affinity for silicon nitride films.
- Common applications
- Semiconductors (protective agent for the etching process in the manufacturing process)
This long-fiber-reinforced thermoplastic comprises continuous cellulose fibers of equal length aligned in the same direction within pellets. This configuration provides both rigidity and high impact strength, which is difficult to achieve with conventional fiber-reinforced resins.
- Common applications
- Auto supplies, industrial products, daily necessities (such as musical instruments)
This fibrous material is made from cellulose acetate, a biomass-derived plastic made of wood, linter, and other plant sources. It exhibits excellent water absorption and hygroscopicity.
- Common applications
- Diapers and other personal hygiene products
This powdered material exhibits moderate moisture permeability as well as optical properties. It has excellent dimensional stability when formed into a film, and has been used as a material for photographic films and protective polarization films for LCDs.
- Common applications
- Optical films (used on displays for LCD TVs, notebook computers, and mobile phones), textiles for clothing, photographic films, water treatment membranes, and X-ray films
<Common applications> include technologies and products under development.
